Scales for Tails Fishing Tournament – Website Design

We were contacted by major supporters of the SPCA Suncoast about developing a website for a fishing tournament that they were planning and using to raise funding and support for the SPCA of Suncoast. During our creative meeting, they told us that they have seen many fishing tournament site sand in their opinion they all looked sterile and boring. They want the Scales for Tails to look fun and drive viewers to join the tournament. A feature that they had to have was a way to display the sponsors for the site as they are the either helping to fund the fishing tournament or providing the prizes.  They also express viewers having the option to register online or by mail. We decided to go with a blue and white theme that symbolized water and waves, as well as a 2 column CSS layout. The main column has all the content and the 2nd column has all the sponsor logos, the Scales for Tails contact info, and other important info. A bonus feature is an ad spot in the header for the main sponsor, this can easily be changed yearly via the CSS.

Being avid supporters of animal rights we enjoyed donating our time for this project and its cause. We encourage anyone in the local area to join the tournament and support the cause. The Scales for Tails fishing tournament is October 3rd and anyone who registers for the tournament get a free pass to the “Catches for Critters Benefit Event & Captain’s Party” on October 1st, 7pm – 9pm. Free food and drinks will be provided, and it’s $10 for anyone not registered.
